Because ID Theft is becoming the number one crime in this country and is actually pulled off by persons in other countries, especially Russia, China, and many different countries in Africa, I have created this page to help my friends and family find information on protecting yourself.  To protect yourself, there are several things that you can easily do without paying some company to protect you.  Even if you have paid for protection, you should do many of these items just as additional insurance against ID Theft.  
             
            Here is an email I received in September 2008, it was sent to me by someone who probably doesn't know he sent it, and it was so stupid sounding that I knew it was a scam right away, however some people may think this is real and apply.  It's the standard scam where they send you money, either by a bad check, or bank transfer, you cash it in your name and send it to the bad guys.  Now your stuck for the money when the check comes back as bad.  This is in a slightly new format, looks like a job posting, but was sent unsolicited via email spam.

JOB SUMMARY

 

Finance and Operations Department manages the administrative side of our business on day-to-day basis. As a Transactions Analyst, you will be in charge receiving funds into a bank account you create and processing them to our international account. In this role, you will have actual business responsibility from day one, with your duties ranging from receiving incoming funds alerts from your supervisor and confirming the transfers arriving into your account, to initiating transfers into our managed client accounts in Russia and confirming the settlement. On average, your duties will require up to 8 business hours per week. Since the Transactions Department is based in Moscow, you will be in touch with your supervisor via phone, email and fax, and thus you need immediate access to these facilities. You should also be able to visit your bank branch during the regular business hours upon a few hours notice.

 

Your compensation will be calculated as 2% percent of the client funds that you handle. You will receive your remuneration each time that you complete a transaction, thus ensuring the full flexibility of your employment contract. On average you can expect to earn from $2,000.00 to $5,000.00 per month working as a Transactions Analyst with our company.
